Q: What are your prices?
A: Our prices vary depending upon the type of equipment you would like to rent and for how long you want to rent it. There are also other costs such as deposits. For more information, visit our Rentals page. From there you can visit the specific equipment page for details.
A: We are located at 34420 Majestic Pine Dr. in Sturgeon Lake Minnesota. We are just east of Interstate 35 off exit 209. Right across the street from Doc’s Sports Bar & Grill. For a map and directions, visit out Contact page.
Q: What do I need to bring?
A: At Off Road Rentals our goal is to provide an enjoyable, hassle free riding experience. We will provide you with a vehicle, a full tank of gas, a helmet, and trail maps. The only thing you’ll need to bring is a driver’s license, credit card, and your DNR ATV or Snowmobile certification (if required – see our Policies page for more details). Also, its always a good idea to bring water, a GPS device, a snack if you’re going to be out long, and the proper apparel. Although we do provide DOT approved helmets, you can always bring your own helmet(s) if you would prefer.
Q: What should I wear?
A: The answer to this depends on the current weather conditions at the time of rental and the area in which you plan to ride. The list for ATV riders can include: gloves, goggles, long sleeve shirt or jacket, long pants, boots, and a DOT approved helmet that we provide or you can bring your own. The list for Snowmobile riders can include: warm gloves, goggles, boots and clothing appropriate for the weather. We also suggest you bring a change of clothes.
Q: What is the minimum age?
A: The minimum age for renting or driving our equipment is 18 years. We do have vehicles that carry more than one person, and in those vehicles, passengers can be any age. However, these activities can be too much for infants or toddlers so we suggest riders no younger than 2.
Q: Are reservations required?
A: No. We welcome walk-in traffic and can provide spur of the moment entertainment for your next adventure, depending on inventory availability of course. However, reservations, especially during peak season and weekends, are always recommended. Reservations ensure that vehicles are ready and waiting for you when you arrive. A deposit is also required for each vehicle and make sure to visit our Policies page for more details, including information about our cancellation policy.
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: If you would like to cancel your reservations we will provide you with a full refund of your Reservation Deposit if you cancel your reservation at least 14 days in advance. We do not provide refunds for cancellations made less than 14 days before the reservation date. We do however, offer a one-time opportunity to reschedule your reservations within twelve months. Q: Can we cancel for bad weather?
A: No, but we can. We do not allow cancellations due to a little rain. If you don’t want to go because the weather isn’t perfect then you will forfeit your deposit. However, we will allow cancellations if the weather is severe. Severe thunderstorms, lightning, tornado warnings, blizzards, dangerous cold, etc. are all cause for concern. We want you to be safe and we will provide full refunds of deposits when we cancel your reservations due to bad weather. Or, if you would like, we can reschedule your reservation for you.
Q: Where is there to ride?
A: The area within 20 miles of our location in Sturgeon Lake, Minnesota has quite a few trails for all skill levels of riders. Our location is adjacent to the General CC Andrews State Forest trails that interconnect with other trail systems throughout the area. For more information, visit our Area Trails page.
Q: What if we damage a vehicle?
A: All damages to our equipment during your possession are entirely your responsibility. We require that you provide a Damage Deposit at the time of rental. If you return our equipment undamaged we will refund your entire Damage Deposit.
Q: Why are there two types of deposits?
A: The two types of deposits that we require are a Reservation Deposit and a Damage Deposit. These two different deposits apply to two separate issues at two different times. The Reservation Deposit is required when making a reservation to ensure that we have equipment ready and waiting for you when you arrive. The Reservation Deposit will be applied to the eventual rental cost. The Damage Deposit is required before you actually take possession of the equipment. This deposit may cover any minor damages to the equipment, and is fully refundable if no loss or damages occur.
Q: Do you charge late fees?
A: Yes. Your rental period is for a specific time frame, and the equipment may be needed to fill other reservations. Therefore, any additional time past the designated end time will be charged at current rental rates. The best way to handle this, if you think you will be late, is to call us to see if the equipment is needed right away or to make arrangements for extra time.
Q: Can I transport a vehicle?
A: Yes. However, transporting a vehicle must be pre-approved and, each rental period is for a specific period of time and transporting our vehicles long distances may not be feasible.
Q: Do you deliver?
A: Yes. Once a Rental Agreement is signed at our location we can transport our vehicles to your riding area within a short distance from our location, for a small additional fee, of course.
